Team 405 tells Pourquoi Tales

As part of their Native American studies, Team 405 told pourquoi tales. Students either created their own or retold one of the pourquoi tales they had heard in class. They practiced telling their stories and shared their stories with parents and friends during a publishing party. Here are a few of Team 405’s Pourquoi Tale stories from March 2015:

Li’l Stories Lab: Native Americans

Subject: Social Studies, Writing
Target Skills: Understanding Story Structure and Development
Goals: Students recount pourquoi tales from Native Americans and use content information learned to construct their own pourquoi tales.
Outcome: Visual storyboard, oral presentation, story video
Lab Topic: The lab is structured around pourquoi tales.
Extension: Students turn their visual/oral stories into a written narrative or Reader’s Theater scripts.
